They have been in production for over five years of course and were presumably from more than one supplier. I have no knowledge nor experience on the non-originals. They may work fine of course, some people are happy and others less so. One original (the first M8 production) has engraved markings and a date stamp on the protruding contact part. The rest have printed markings and may or may not have a date stamp. One uses Cyrillic characters. I have not personally seen that one.
