Well I just have to weigh in with my 2c ;-)

The new M looks very revolutionary. God knows if it will work (ie people
will buy it) but it certainly is a big effort. In one fell swoop they have
gone back to the future with a visoflex R and macro adaptor and at the
same time added video. Bizarre, some of the high end gagets GPS and
backwards compatability.

The R adaptor will feed info via the sensor to allow exif data, but is not
auto aperture: there is no mechanical connector on the adapter: they would
have to put in a motor to activate the Aperture flange, and that may not
happen for a while. With all the wonderful bits and pieces, I'd have loved
to see image stabilization and dust removal then it would really have been
a revolutionary camera: but they have to leave something for the next
photokina I suppose ;-)
