Gentlemen, I have had the XPro > M adapter for several weeks and shot quite a few pictures with it. Here are a few samples: Here is a 3 panel pano of a float plane flying by my loft balcony. It is taken with the 90 Elmarit on the XPro 1. The 90 is set at f8.0 and infinity. No time to focus as the plane is in sight as you hear it. What I find is that the X Pro 1 is a better processing platform in terms of speed of processing and quality of LCD for chimping over either my M8 or M9. But using M lenses on the X Pro - if focusing is required - is fiddly, especially if the subject is moving at all. You can get a 10X magnification of the image for accurate focusing but the camera shake magnified 10X makes viewing the image clearly more difficult. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Here is a 3 panel pano taken with the 18 Elmar on the X Pro 1 - again at f8.0. It was hand held and readily assembled in CS5. There was no problem with vignetting as you would expect at f8.0. But it was a bit of a dull day. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- And here is the 50 Lux on the X Pro 1 looking at the forest outside my loft. Again at f8.0. It is sharp to the corners by my eyes. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- And finally here is a close up of Esther, my long suffering wife, watching the Olympics. It is taken with the 90 Elmarit, wide open at f2.8 and I focused on her eyeball. It wasn't hard to do - she wasn't moving and it is accurately sharp. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In sum, if you have Leica lenses and want to play - the adapter can give you lots of fun times. In practical terms, the fuji auto focus lenses are excellent and work so well with the camera, that out in the real world, with people moving, it it more practical, I think, to just use the lenses made for the camera and enjoy the benefits of AF. Of course, I say this from the perspective of 69 year old eyes which are at the trifocal stage and add the usual disclaimer, YMMV.
