Eh?  

You can't exploit the various Olympic and Paralympic logos for commercial
purposes, sure, but beyond that, I think the organisers have made the formal
position pretty clear:

"The words protected by the Olympic Symbol etc. (Protection) Act 1995 may,
however, be used in editorial news pieces without our authorisation, and
journalists are able to use our emblem etc to illustrate an editorial piece
about the Games, provided in each case advertising in not integrated into
the Games-related content (such as a sponsored column or supplement) without
LOCOG's consent.."

Under UK law now you can't distribute photos of the logo in any way.
However, they have said no action will be taken for non-commercial personal
use because they realise that there is no way they can enforce it on places
like Facebook etc.
