The two sons who resurrected the company had something else in mind from the 35mm SLR's for people who drive eggplant colored Saab's. They just wanted to make a camera capable of making an image is second to none. Modular in in a whole more basic way (than Hasselblad etc) and larger format. Pick your back. Nothing comes close really. Kind of like our Kaufman guy coming out with the S system... "wait that's not fair that's not a 35mm camera" "I don't care I can do whatever I want".
