Thank you.  The cloudless sky was a bit of a disappointment, but with
B&W the option of heavy filtration to darken it works reasonably well.

Definitely.  I do go through a bit more processing steps to get the
noise under control in the dark sky than you'll have to do with your
MM and a red filter, but it works.
