For compatabilty with LR4 and SilverEFX the file structure will be the same, just as you need a 'colour space' file to get to jpeg. I say this also because apparently the write speeds haven't changed :-(. As for general performance, Luminous Landscape has written a hands on review with some sample high ISO shots. Looks like even ISO 10,000 is very useable. It looks like there might easily be a 3-4 stop advantage in practice. It's not the same as film type noise, which shows grain more in highlights than shadows, but it looks very good.
