What they need to do is make something at real people can afford. But then
they seem to be selling every one they make.

All three of us are getting a little impatient... but the item that caught
my attention was the Hasselblad H lens to Leica S adapter. It's a 'smart'
adapter that allows the S body to control the aperture, focus and shutter of
the H lens. AF, auto-aperture and central shutter of the H lens on an S
body. The S2's focal plane shutter can also be used, a first for the H
lenses, or an S2 can be a backup for an H system.

Not that I'll ever use either H or S, more that it represents Leica's
thinking. Leica is thinking of photographers' needs, not trying to trap
them in a closed system. For a number of years I've advocated / dreamed of
smart adapters exactly like this that would allow full function of a variety
of makers' lenses on a thin EVIL-like body. Photokina could be quite
interesting.
