IT'S FILM FOR STARTERS: The moon was shot with THE LEICA 400MM 2.8 WITH A 2x EXTENDER. THE BUILDING WAS SHOT WITH A 280MM 2.8 The two transparencies were sandwiched and copied onto film. I realize these days this kind of "creation could be done by a "PHOTOSHOP MASTER" in two blinks of an eye! But in the Golden olden days some of the fiddling and the success was part of the skill and fun of doing it manually!:-) However I think I'd rather fiddle in Photoshop today because when you know what your doing it's a piece of cake. However given I don't know all that Photoshop magic I think I'll stay with what I knew many many "MOON'S AGO!" ;-) Cheers, Dr. ted :-) ----- Original Message ----- From: "Geoff Hopkinson" <hopsternew at gmail.com> To: "Leica Users Group" <lug at leica-users.org> Sent: Monday, May 07, 2012 4:15 PM Subject: Re: [Leica] SUPER SIZE MOON!!!!!!!! :-) >I think I can see a pile of Hasselblads left behind from the Apollo > missions too! > Since some people are having trouble with your (longish) link I repeat it > here with the 'can't break me marks' added > < > http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/ted+grant/%232+---+SUPER+SIZE+MOON+--+MAY++2012+.tif.html >> > > > > Cheers, > Geoff > http://www.pbase.com/hoppyman > > > > On 8 May 2012 07:00, <tedgrant at shaw.ca> wrote: > >> >> SUPER SIZE MOON!!!!!!!! :-) >>> >> >> http://gallery.leica-users.**org/v/ted+grant/%232+---+** >> SUPER+SIZE+MOON+--+MAY++2012+.**tif.html<http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/ted+grant/%232+---+SUPER+SIZE+MOON+--+MAY++2012+.tif.html> >> >>> >>> I had to wear a heavy duty space suit to get this close! :-) >>> >>> And no it's not a photoshop creation! >>> >>> cheers, >>> Dr. ted :-) >>> >> >> >> ______________________________**_________________ >> Leica Users Group. >> See >> http://leica-users.org/**mailman/listinfo/lug<http://leica-users.org/mailman/listinfo/lug>for >> >> more information >> > > _______________________________________________ > Leica Users Group. > See http://leica-users.org/mailman/listinfo/lug for more information
