Robert Clark Lancaster, PA -----Original Message----- From: lug-bounces+rclark01=comcast.net at leica-users.org [mailto:lug-bounces+rclark01=comcast.net at leica-users.org] On Behalf Of Jayanand Govindaraj Sent: Friday, May 04, 2012 2:04 PM To: Leica Users Group; PSM Subject: [Leica] Ranthambhore - Last Set The last bunch of animal shots from Ranthambhore - deer, monkeys and, of course, more kitties: Sambhar at a salt lick: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/jayanand/Ranthambhore_001/2012/Ranthambhore _20120402_0291.jpg.html Relaxed langur with Chital, a well known symbiotic relationship: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/jayanand/Ranthambhore_001/2012/Ranthambhore _20120405_0864.jpg.html T17 exhibiting that she is a true cat: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/jayanand/Ranthambhore_001/2012/Ranthambhore _20120402_0500.jpg.html T17, as chattering monkeys catch her attention: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/jayanand/Ranthambhore_001/2012/Ranthambhore _20120402_0440.jpg.html T41 emerging from behind a bush: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/jayanand/Ranthambhore_001/2012/Ranthambhore _20120406_1033.jpg.html IMHO the petite T41 is the prettiest tigress in the tourist zone: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/jayanand/Ranthambhore_001/2012/Ranthambhore _20120406_1062.jpg.html Male Leopard on a crumbling wall: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/jayanand/Ranthambhore_001/2012/Ranthambhore _20120405_1021.jpg.html The last shot was taken late in the evening, in a wooded area, in minimal light, with the Nikon D7000 and the 200-400, wide open at ISO3200, handheld. These modern camera bodies (this was not even a pro level body, at that) produce miraculous results at times! It is the first decent leopard shot I have ever taken in India, they are generally very shy and elusive here, mainly because they mercilessly persecuted by humans (and tigers). Please see LARGE Comments and criticism, as ever, welcome. Cheers Jayanand _______________________________________________ Leica Users Group.
