Hey don't knock that beautiful airplane! :-)

My first ever flight as an Officer Cadet in the Canadian Armoured Corp to 
Camp Borden was in a bird just like this! We took off and landed safely so 
that's all that matters! :-) Many many years later I flew in one adapted 
with ski's into the Canadian Arctic and safely landed. It's a work horse of 
planes! Lots of airborne guys know this plane very well! :-)
