Subject: [Leica] S2 vs. 645D sensor

The S2 is "Leica format" 2 over 3.
The Pentax is 3 over 4.
That's video format. And medium format digital format.
Gives you a chunkier image. Less sweep. More geek.
Certainly a more efficient way to fill an image circle.
But not a format I'd want to bring home and meet Mom.

Basically the S2 is a camera which makes images which made the top Canon and
Nikon DSLR's look like Mickey Mouse.
The S2 has the look and feel of those cameras.
Plus the look and feel of tens of thousands of hand made in Germany design
and craftsmanship.

The reason why it makes images so much better than Canon Nikon is better
glass. But mainly its more real estate.
Its a medium format digital squeezed into a 35mm DSLR package.
That's its brilliance.
As the sensors get better the use of the camera will expand to more street
photography as you'll get higher ISO's.

But at this point medium format sensors have a uniformity to them.
