Everything I do (admittedly, pretty mundane stuff) on the computer I can do more easily on the ipad because of it's portability and convenience, even compared to a netbook. I don't miss a mouse at all. I was skeptical until I took my husband's ipad1 when he upgraded to an ipad2. I love it so much the when the new ones came out yesterday I bought one along with my husband. I'm donating my ipad1 to a college student I know and sending the ipad2 to my daughter. I'm generally a luddite about technology but I use mine constantly. If you don't like the touch pad keyboard you can buy one as a peripheral, either connected or bluetooth.
