I never had a desire to smoke because my parents were both chain smokers and I spent many hours locked in a car with all of that smoke! On the other hand, my sister who grew up in the same house and car is a life-long smoker who is battling constantly to quit. I cannot imagine wanting to put those leaves in my mouth and set them on fire to breathe the smoke. George Carlin's skit on smoking should be enough to make most people want to quit.
