Their raw TIFF I guess is akin to Vuescan's "DNG" which is not really raw but allows you to reprocess the scans without penalty. I'm embarking on bringing my transparency backlog into digital form soon. So I'll share if I learn anything useful. You're starting from a difficult place with these contrasty transparencies obviously. If you would like another set of eyes, by all means send me a copy of your original scan too.
