If I hit any adjustment the thing goes so far out of whack its ridiculous. It I did a fresh install of my whole computer it could fix it. It maybe I have too many layers with old stuff conflicting. As is I don't think my monitor is so far off that I'm seeing something way different from other people or I'd notice the difference and so would they. I do see pix with bleached out highlights and crushed shadows which are maybe not that bleached and crushed. Is that the nature of LED"s over LCD's? News at 11. But they seem to be selling the LCD's the most in the cheaper price points of which I am a member. -- Mark R. http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/lugalrabs/winterdays/ > From: Lottermoser George <imagist3 at mac.com> > Reply-To: Leica Users Group <lug at leica-users.org> > Date: Wed, 11 Jan 2012 23:46:29 -0600 > To: Leica Users Group <lug at leica-users.org> > Subject: Re: [Leica] OT perhaps - monitor selection > > > On Jan 11, 2012, at 11:38 PM, Mark Rabiner wrote: > >> Thanks Yes you tried to help me a year or two ago when we went though this >> every time I go though it it makes my computer go way the hell out of >> whack >> mind does not work and I've heard the same from other people. >> I need a monitor with easy calibration built in software which other real >> world people have found to work. > > I have 4 macs running > and the built in OSx calibration > works on 2 all 4 of them of them. > > Hard to imagine that it wouldn't on yours. > > Have you gone into >> Displays >> Color >> Calibrate >> Expert Mode (follow instructions) > > Not using the Expert Mode won't get you vary far at all > > Regards, > George Lottermoser > george at imagist.com > http://www.imagist.com > http://www.imagist.com/blog > http://www.linkedin.com/in/imagist > > > > > > > _______________________________________________ > Leica Users Group. > See http://leica-users.org/mailman/listinfo/lug for more information
