I had a 23" and 30" cinema displays until the 23" died, insurance got me a 24" but it is nowhere near as good :-( Glossy screen, drops out (black screen) briefly quite often, short leads (designed to be used with a laptop) and IMO nowhere near as stylish as the previous generation. Yes replacing the screens will be costly, NEC is not readily available here but Eizo are..... john ________________________________________ My wife has begrudgingly upgraded to Snow Leopard and if she ever upgrade her 2006 Mac Pro, she would command me (yes, wives do that) to put Snow Leopard on rather than Lion. She is also using the last true great screen, the matte 30 inch cinema display which we got for $900 used (she bought the first Cinema display [21"] for $2100 way back when). When that dies, I will be tasked to find a replacement... not looking forward to that.
