Yes that is sadly looking the case :-( IMO the OS is dumbing down (10.7) and 
I would not buy an Apple display these days (glossy only and the leads are 
too short)

All signs pointing to Apple leaving the "PRO" business. There may not be
another Mac Pro refresh, or may be one last one. We will see.
