Doug:

Great capture. I can feel the cold, damp air and the morning light. Nice
backlight "through" the claws.

Our Western Meadowlarks up here (upper left corner, as Sr. Young says) have
a more ruddy-toned breast and are often mistaken for "big robins" when they
poke around the ground searching for worm sushi, etc.

Sometimes the poke around our aluminum gutters - quite a racket but no
damage. I rather have them around than not, that's for sure.

One of my favorite Pacific Northwest birds.

Thanks, Doug.
