But if you need a better scan for prints, the Nikon 5000 or 9000 would be good if you can find one. I have a Nikon 4000ED for 35mm and an Epson 4990 for 4x5 and they are both excellent, though they receive little or no use these days. The Plustek 7600 would _probably_ give you good results, but I have no personal experience with it. It is 455USD at B&H. The scanning software is as important as the scanner and can cost almost as much, although Vuescan seems to do well for a much smaller price. Good luck, your images deserve the best.
