I have the Canon 16-35 2.8, the 24-70 2.8 and the 70-200 2.8 and some primes and don't see any of these things. I have some default sharpening presets in ACR, but they are capture sharpening. The 5DII allows you to set the sensor to lens distance for each lens, which does help somewhat. I have seen some fringing under extreme backlighting, but no surprises there I guess.
