I do use a monopod with the 250 Telyt. I have never learned to work with layers. In this case, I stopped down to assure that all parts of the image were in focus. Most of the time I shoot at f/3.5 with this lens, and the hexes are not there. I cloned out one bright one, but they don't really bother me that much.
