Even when using recovery full beam, and decreasing exposure to the maximum, the whites in question are still white ... I bet that when light is so harsh, 1.33 is too much - my feeling from what I see in the behaviour of the histogram when I decrease luminosity and exposure is that 0.33 might still have worked, but no further. Sorry again.
