If you have ever seen a Mac disk from a Windows machine you will know what I mean ;-) john -----Original Message----- Do you know whether Blue Harvest can backup FAT32 discs in the way Bob asked? It wasn't clear (to me anyway) on the linked site. True, Blue Harvest (http://www.zeroonetwenty.com/blueharvest4/) is useful to reduce clutter on discs like that. I use Spaces for different applications. One is usual day to day stuff browser, iTunes, VM,Lightroom etc, if I open PS or DreamWeaver it opens in a new Space and I lose all my usual clutter (but it stays open) and another one for video work. It is sort of there in Lion but not as convenient john -----Original Message----- Yes but Bob's original question was about a solution to backing up his FAT32 pictures disc on his Mac so that he could still see his files on a Windows machine. I have never used spaces (don't even know what it is, must check. No the problem for me I have a lot of legacy software which won't run, the most important being my film scanner software. I can use Vuescan but prefer the Nikon software I am familiar with. > Also I have an old Canon photo printer which I like, I am not sure > Lion will drive it. > FD > > On 6 Sep, 2011, at 07:41, John McMaster wrote: > >>> I used a very inexpensive backup program called Carbon Copy Cloner. >> >> Very good application >> >>> I suggest you be cautions about upgrading to Lion.
