Isn't that camera supposed to be good at ISO 128000 or something like that? On the other hand, I used flash for the first time in at least a year yesterday, only for one picture. It was a portrait of my son on the beach, in very bright sunshine, and I decided to flip the flash on my beach camera (Panasonic P&S, the Leica is too fragile for the beach and I did not want to bring a camera bag anyway). It worked very well. Flash is more useful in bright sunshine than in the dark.
