Jayanand and I share about the same views, only the details change as we've followed about the same paths, with some minor variations. I also think Jayanand and I are somewhat friends, we even had plans to meet when he was last over in Europe, which unfortunately failed by my fault. I, I would never consider any of his posts as aggressive or patronizing, just informed, most of the time much better than mine. I'm sorry if you took some of our remarks personally. I strongly encourage photogs - pros or amateur - to use the gear they feel the most comfortable with for the kind of photo they want to produce. Migrating from film to digital, and soon for younger ones the other way round ;-) , is a step to be thoroughly considered for many reasons, quality/cost being one, tehcnicity another, etc. Input and feedback from others is sometimes necessary when you want information, this is also one of the main bonuses of the list, then it is left for anyone person to decide what is best for them :-) OTT I had never spotted your name in posts either, so may I also add a warm welcome? And I'd be very happy to see some of your photos, really. Do you have a site? Or pictures on the Gallery?
