When I turned about 35, I felt I could no longer focus as well as I should. So I bought Nikon AF stuff. Big mistake. I could focus better by eye than the 8008 could. Sold off a great deal of it. Bought a great deal of MF stuff. Time goes on..... I get the urge to buy a 400 and 560 Telyt in Visoflex mount to use on my F4. ( MF lens, Film body.) Shots are good. VF and GG are replaceable and I bought the GG that did good things for me. Time goes on again, and I acquire a D1x. The images are not sharp due to focus errors on my part. Basically, the VF is not bright enough to give me good focusing ability. I ask the LUG what options I have to better VF clarity ( call it brightness, contrast. Whatever...) Result comes back, either buy AF lenses and let the body do the work or suffer the lousy hit rate on critical focus or go back to film. Bought a 400 AF lens ( Sigma 400 F5.6 AF.) have not had it long enough to test it out yet.....but the AF feature will "fix" my focus errors.... Then I thought, what would happen if I used my M8 + Visoflex + Telyts.... And that is where I am right now....trying to figure out that conundrum. I really want to use the Telyts, on my D1x.... but that is least likely..... or maybe film is least likely?
