Subject: [Leica] Thinking about a D700 or D7000

In theory, that's right, but how often do you read reports of bent/broken
pins? In contrast, reports of physical/electrical failures in SD card
cameras and readers are surprisingly common.

The readers for CF cards, being multi-pin, are easier to damage, as
are the the in-camera connections. If you bend or snap a pin,
everything is ruined. I have had a reader that broke and caused me
considerable grief, but I eventually recovered the files. SD cards
have a sliding contact and there are no fine parts that can get bent
or break.
