Hang on now, at least I admitted I ask stupid questions! ;-) What's the wildest thing that could happen if one down loads this improvement for the M9 only you try to load it into an M8? Just asking. :-) I also realize the inner guts of both cameras are different, so it might not load at all. Or maybe I'd be holding a mass of melted camera and glass in my hands. OUCH! :-) I bet somebody will give me what my answer would be if someone else asked this queston.... "Don't ask us! ASK LEICA!" :-) cheers, ted ----- Original Message ----- From: "Steve Barbour" <steve.barbour at gmail.com> To: "Leica LUG" <lug at leica-users.org> Sent: Wednesday, June 15, 2011 8:40 AM Subject: [Leica] Fwd: New Firmware for the Leica M9 prior M9 firmware was 1.161...is that correct? > If you have problems with the display of this newsletter, please use the > following link: > http://news.leica-camera.com/ff/display.php?msgID=592275796&adr=steve.barbour > at gmail.com > > > > > Dear Leica M9 owner, > We are pleased to update you with news about your camera. > > > New Firmware Update for the Leica M9 > A new M9 firmware - version 1.162 - is now available for you to download. > > > Leica Camera AG has announced a new firmware update for the Leica M9.
