Hi Peter,
I must say your photographs from the mountain stream show a beautiful place
to
fish - though it did not look deep enough to dunk a camera...
I taught myself to fish in the streams of northern England, Wales and
Scotland
whilst my Dad and brothers played golf (which bored me sh*tless). I am still
too
young for golf.
Here in the South of England fly-fishing streams and rivers is hideously
expensive and I don't enjoy fishing still water very much :-(
cheers,
Frank

Yes, Frankie is quite right,

fly fishing is all about walking upstream, mastering the cast, placement of
the
fly, and the retrieve, and knowing where the fish usually are (near rocks,
with
a decent, but not too strong, current to carry flies to the hungry fish.
It's a
very meditative recreation, involving a lot of concentration and technique.

All the best,

Peter
