[Author Prev] [Author Next] [Thread Prev] [Thread Next] [Author Index] [Topic Index] [Home] [Search]Even gaining 2.5 stops of lens speed won't make the D1 finder 2.5 stops brighter; modern SLR screens are bundles of fibre optics with microlenses on the surfaces - they accept light from a very narrow angle, so as you open the lens wider they transmit proportionally less light.
