I don't know what the flower is, but I am pleased with the lighting. This was a learning experience. After complaining about too many wilted flowers around here, my wife suggested going to the Stanford Shopping Center, where the gardeners do not permit any wilted flower to live, and the place teems with blossoms. I don't have anything resembling macro optics for my M9, but quickly discovered that at minimum focusing distance, I get a bigger image with the 90 mm than with the 35. However, I didn't realize how utterly shallow the depth of field would be and used much wider apertures than I should have. http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/herbk1/Flower+5-27-1.jpg.html -- Herbert Kanner kanner at acm.org 650-326-8204 Do not meddle in the affairs of cats, for they are subtle and will pee on your computer! _______________________________________________ Leica Users Group.
