I firstly bought an Olympus Pen E-PL2 to enable me to do street shooting with interchangeable lenses, which I quite like but hate holding at arms length to compose. However, I found that I liked the 4/3 format and the lightness of the kit so I decided to explore the Panasonic GH2. I was finding it difficult to justify lugging (no pun intended) the Nikon with chunky heavy lenses around. I would add that a M9 was a dream I just could not afford at any level. I now have 2 cameras which will cover everything I need (that is the Olympus and the Panasonic) and the equivalent of 28 - 600mm lenses, and it all fits into the Billingham smallest bag (Hadley?) with no trouble and doesn't break my back every time I carry it. I suffer with arthritis and walking is becoming increasingly tiresome, so I have to build that into the equation I am afraid. All in all I am generally happy but it is all so new I am having to get used to so many things at once. I am however getting there! Best wishes Gerry On 16 Apr 2011, at 09:49, afirkin at afirkin.com wrote: > I suppose I wondered why you bought/use this particular camera, and if it > is good for this sort of close up tightly framed image. > > Alastair > >> Alistair >> >> Thanks for looking at my image.
