What little parking is in Canary Wharf is expensive (no street parking) so public transport is the only choice for the vast majority of people. Many complaints when it first started to get busy as most people had been in the City or West End of London so now had to travel further and had less distractions at lunch time. Also, it took quite a few years for the area to pick up, there were these empty two lane roads going further east, they were fun in the early hours. The old way of the area (top of Isle of Dogs, Limehouse) have gone, it used to be an interesting mix but was all closing down or going up market/yuppie last time I was there. john ________________________________________ John knows the place alright Ric, George and Jim. It is art, and maybe the result of the congestion charge; fancy that; one car on the roundabout at rush hour ... I hadn't seen so few private cars in main London since I first drove there in 1976 ... Fortunately London now has an excellent public transportation system. Thanks for looking Amiti?s Philippe Le 8 mars 11 ? 22:49, Ric Carter a ?crit : > > Holy crap!
