Jim Shulman Wynnewood, PA Who's been scanning a neighbor's slides this week, and rues the invention of early Eeechtachrome (all of which is a lovely magenta), and mourns Kodachrome (all of which looks as though it were shot yesterday, save for the Mary Tyler Moore-era outfits.) -----Original Message----- From: lug-bounces+jshul=comcast.net at leica-users.org [mailto:lug-bounces+jshul=comcast.net at leica-users.org] On Behalf Of Alan Magayne-Roshak Sent: Wednesday, January 05, 2011 9:46 AM To: lug Subject: [Leica] Leica M3 Purchase As I was cleaning my M3 between rolls, I remembered this month is the 37th anniversary of me buying this camera (used, but in mint condition, with 50mm f/2 collapsible Summicron and MC meter, for $325.00). It's pretty much been my constant companion ever since. Nothing else feels such a part of my hand and eye. I wish I knew exactly how many rolls I've exposed with it - I used to use it on the job too, so many, many of my university pictures went through that shutter. Sure think it was a splendid bargain.
