Read on at peril!:-) >On 8 December 2010 08:28, Jim Shulman <jshul at comcast.net> wrote: > >>As of a week out, we're at 30 submissions. At this time last year we were >>at 38.<<< The beast upon seeing this twitched, raised it's mighty horned head! Crying out in the night.... "Why Me? Can't these poor LUGNUT fools understand the future of the "BEAUTIFUL YEAR BOOK" hangs in balance?" Then a reply from Geoff in the depth of night, a hint of what was to come: .... >>> Oh no! This will activate the Dr Ted Terminator T6000 Unit > "Listen, and understand. That Ted is out there. It can't be bargained > with. > It can't be reasoned with. It doesn't feel pity, or remorse, or fear. And > it > absolutely will not stop, ever, until you submit photos for the > yearbook"<<<< The Dr. Ted Terminator growled! A vicious set of FANGS glimmered in the cold wet night as the beast awakened to the once again lack of submissions. "What grief can I bring upon these LUGGERS?" A vengeance so debilitating they'd never forget! The request is small, "two photos if you please, submit them on time." asked the book making MASTER Jim Shulman. A simple request. But alas, once again these "Great Photographers of the LUG" are failing badly! How poorly they respond, fools like no other who have no respect for the book making MASTER who slaves and sweats preparing each page of the world famous 2010 LUG book! "OK Hang on. I just unplugged the TERMINATOR for the moment, so listen up!" said Dr. ted :-) I can't understand why each year we go through this crap with you LUG people not entering a couple of photos! Like you've had a year to pick a couple you like, prepared and saved in a folder on the desktop! So when December comes around and The BOOK MASTER asks for your 2 photo submission, it's also OK to send only one, however that sort of screws up the look of the book! Therefore don't do it and send two as asked! GET OFF YOUR WET BUTT AND SEND THEM! NOW! LIKE IN THE NEXT 24 HOURS! It's the easiest book you'll ever have an opportunity for YOUR PHOTOGRAPHS to be PUBLISHED!! PERIOD! Along with a bunch of good guys and gals. Not to forget you don't have to deal with some wild eyed PHOTO EDITOR! You submit two ? You have two published with your name! And if you have never had a photograph published in a book before this will create a wonderful feeling of "COOL MAN!" Look at my pictures! :-) Trust me you will show all your friends and family... "hey look at my pictures in this famous book!" You'll be all smiles and feeling really very good seeing "your stuff on the printed page!" :-) OK now get with the programme, send two photos in the next 24 hours and I promise, well maybe? I wont unleash the "Dr. Ted Terminator T6000 Unit for a bit." However don't press your luck! :-) Two photos for crying out loud! Get on it! NOW! And a nice note to all those unpublished LUGNUTS out there; how about it folks, cut us a little slack as we really would like to see a bunch of new folks in this years' book. And we want all the previous of the past in there also. MINE ARE IN! So where the hell are yours???? Thank you all, good night, cheers, Dr. Terminator ted! ;-) ----- Original Message ----- From: "Geoff Hopkinson" <hopsternew at gmail.com> To: "Leica Users Group" <lug at leica-users.org> Sent: Tuesday, December 07, 2010 3:04 PM Subject: Re: [Leica] 2010 LUG Yearbook Update--Submit Images! > Oh no!
