The setup is reasonably easy once you have overcome the obstacles presented by what has been the worst customer support experience I have yet enjoyed, ever. Repeatedly the answer was "You must have DHCP to set up the ReadyNAS, after setup you can switch to fixed IP" which is simply untrue - but the first line (and, it seems, second line) customer support is not up to understanding properly their own product! The following site has useful information on the ReadyNAS line: http://home.bott.ca/webserver/ Piers PS If you do want to set up a ReadyNAS Duo without DHCP, the ReadyNAS will default to use IP 192.168.168.168 and netmask 255.255.255.0, so you can direct connect a PC using a suitable IP configuration to find the ReadyNAS and set it to the fixed IP you desire.
