Here we are at the first viewing platform a third or so up the first climb.
Here are the lakes at the base of Cradle mountain, the most famous on the
right is Dove lake. We have climbed from the level of the lake, though
skirting around behind the steepest of the climb, around to the left. We are
now about to make the steepest climb of the trip (apart from the optional
side trips), up to Marion's lookout:
