One of the dark times in the history of Leica. Get you could use the normal neverready case for it which also fit the 50! Leica was desperate and it showed. In this case they just bit off a bit more than they could chew in the time period as far as miniaturization goes. I think the use of a digital camera gives us the immediate feedback to be able to be able to be more critical of our glass then when we possessed our negs in god knows what weeks to months later. I'm not speaking of you personally Sonny as I obviously would have no idea but many people are dealing on the level where they are playing around with different developers with every roll and so much different stuff I'm talking in the 90's and if their lens was bad it wouldn't make much difference or it would be impossible to ascertain by their results where in the chain the print had gone wrong. Proably in more than two places. Their darkroom results were all over the place from any number of a dozen other reasons. The first being they didn't give a hoot it was never about consistent looking results but about playing around. "Gee I wonder what will happen if use this stuff this time"? -------------------- Mark William Rabiner Photography http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/lugalrabs/ mark at rabinergroup.com Cars: http://tinyurl.com/2f7ptxb > From: Sonny Carter <sonc.hegr at gmail.com> > Reply-To: Leica Users Group <lug at leica-users.org> > Date: Sun, 7 Nov 2010 10:10:58 -0600 > To: Leica Users Group <lug at leica-users.org> > Subject: Re: [Leica] Rangefinder error on M9 > > On Sun, Nov 7, 2010 at 9:30 AM, Mark Rabiner <mark at rabinergroup.com> > wrote: > > I think these people need very little reason cast aside one piece of choice > gear to give them fodder to bid for another. > > I know your position on that, but if a piece of choice gear doesn't work > for > me, out it goes. > > When I started shooting my M8, I found two lenses that performed great on > an > M7 were mush on the M8.
