It's a thought, but I'm kind of thinking of manual focus bodies. I know you can use older manual lenses on Nikons, but as many have found, a body actually setup for manual focusing is different thing when compared to manual focusing on an AF body. I will look into older MF Nikons though and see if there's anything that catches my interest.
