I love getting that rebate in the mail every year - if your dividends are based on your purchases, why not fine-tune your prices down to eliminate the bureaucracy? I mean, it seems like I always pay 15% over retail to get 10% back. And it's always 10%. The co-op's business model must be to hope that no one cashes in dividend certificates.
