It can be intimidating. My menu settings are pretty simple, since I use
raw for everything. If I understand correctly, then none of the
sharpness or white balance settings are operative, which is what I
prefer. I do know where mirror lockup is. I use aperture priority for
the DOF I want, adjust the ISO speed for a reasonable shutter speed if
needed, and set the focus area appropriately. Sometimes I will adjust
exposure comp after checking the histogram. It takes less time to do
than to say.
