ED is the name of the guy who makes lenses which cost more having to do with the glass which isn't glass. AF-S is the American field service. High school kids with accents who make lenses which don't go "burrrr". And G stands for Goodness. -------------------- Mark William Rabiner Photography http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/lugalrabs/ mark at rabinergroup.com Cars: http://tinyurl.com/2f7ptxb > From: Geoff Hopkinson <hopsternew at gmail.com> > Reply-To: Leica Users Group <lug at leica-users.org> > Date: Sat, 23 Oct 2010 11:54:49 +1000 > To: Leica Users Group <lug at leica-users.org> > Subject: Re: [Leica] D700 > > Umm, does this mean that the rest of us are also now allowed to use > acronyms, abbreviations and alphabet soup in our posts without fear of a > corrective response from you?? > I'm just askin' ;-) > > Cheers > Geoff > http://www.pbase.com/hoppyman > > NO ARCHIVE > > >> On Oct 22, 2010, at 2:26 PM, Mark Rabiner <mark at rabinergroup.com> >> wrote: >>> >>> Nope its an older real lens. >>> FX or FF Nikon 24-85 f/3.5-4.5 ED AF-S G >> > > _______________________________________________ > Leica Users Group. > See http://leica-users.org/mailman/listinfo/lug for more information
