Vick,

Not sure what market price is, but it works on the R8 and R9.  R8's require 
a update to their firmware, if they are an older unit, mine did, but this 
update is free from Leica.  A guess of the mkt price would be around $2500 
for a DMR alone, but around $3500 for a R8/DMR combination, a bit more with 
a R9.
