So it certainly is not this in my case, thought the frameline lever on the front -feels- sticky. The package, which was the same as you describe for this camera, had clear signs of serious impact when I received it but the camera was fine. The sticky framelines sounds more like a lack of use thing or a broken spring than the result of an impact. I've never had this happen, so I've no idea what the fix might be or cost.
