The lenses would out weigh the body by 50% or more. The lenses would dwarf the bodies and you could not carry them by the body with anything larger than a 50mm lens unless the body and mounts were hugely re-inforced. Ergonomics would be horrid. just my opinion. I can just see Doug, myself, or anyone else trying to hold a Micro 4/3 body mounted to a 560 Telyt, 180 Elmarit R, 80-200 Vario Elmar R Zoom etc. A 4/3 solution of any kind is a complete joke. Naah, I don't think they'd dare try that. What I'm expecting, and daring to hope for, is some sort of electronic-viewfinder camera, indeed similar in technical approach to the micro-four-thirds camera, but with a 24x36mm sensor. If they came out with something like that, properly implemented, I'd very much want to use one for the sort of things SLRs are good for for me (exact composition and focus). Because I find focussing a micro-four-thirds camera, through-the-lens and with electronic magnification turned on, easier in many dimmish light conditions than using a "real" optical SLR. Not fast, not great for quickly-changing situations, but good and precise for still subjects. If they dared just issue a Leica-branded 4/3" camera, they'd be a laughingstock. I think they know that. -Jeff _______________________________________________ Leica Users Group. See http://leica-users.org/mailman/listinfo/lug for more information
