Subject: [Leica] DMR batteries, once again

There is a letter out from Dave Elwell, Leica N.J. that Leica has an
agreement with Akku in Germany to have the existing cells rebuilt for about
$199. You send yours into Leica and they will handle the operation as I
understand it. There will be no new battery packs from Leica, all existing
orders for them are now cancelled. I would call Dave in NJ, or Solms for
further info.

There are third parties working on other solutions.

There was mention a while back of possibly having someone replace the
batteries inside the DMR battery pack. Has anyone figured out who or how to
do this?

Tom
