Oliver if you print from the print module of Lightroom you no longer need
the conventional approach of setting the resolution to match your choice for
your printer . Instead you just set what size print you would like and
choose your paper size of course. It is much more intuitive than anything we
home printmakers learnt previously.
Lightroom will look after resolution, layout , colour management, sharpening
for you. Give it a try working through the options.
