The letter slot shape of the screen might be an issue for other things. Remember too, the netbooks don't usually have CD drives, so you may need to invest in an outboard one. What I did to transfer programs that I already own, was to put the content of the installation disk onto an SD card. Obviously many programs can be merely downloaded.
