Subject: [Leica] An M on a tripod in a clothing ad

When I got my real heavy Gitzo I got for 4x5 use I found it a boom for my
35mm photography much more so. It became my tripod of choice on the white
backdrop for my Nikons, Leica's or Hasselblads.
It just stood still.
Change a lens or a back you don't have to look through to make sure it
didn't move. It didn't.
It was a Gitzo 320 Studex Performance a Series 3 which means it has a leg
diameter of leg diameter 32mm or 1.25 inches. Seems like yesterday but it
appears I've owned it for 21 years.
The very heavy tripod options would seem to make the use of sandbags less
important. I've never used them nor seen them in use.
